Bon Fer - meaning ‘Good Iron’ in reference to the Cajun triangle called a ‘t’fer’ - is Toronto’s newest Cajun band, drawing on the traditional influences of the Balfa Brothers with a contemporary twist. The group consists of some of Canada’s finest musicians including Emilyn Stam (Filipo Gambetta, Té) on fiddle, Rosalyn Dennett (Oh My Darling, Ken Whiteley) on fiddle, John Williams (Boxcar Boys) on accordion, Max Heineman (Lonesome Ace Stringband, Foggy Hogtown Boys) on bass, and Jesse Corrigan (Kitgut Stringband, Kristine Schmidt) on guitar.
